New Pictures!

Its been a while since I posted any pictures so I thought I would share.  Things are busy as ever here at the Nacey residence.  With Christmas stuff and office stuff and kids stuff we've been keeping it hopping.  But I've decided that I would almost rather have it like this than have time on my hands to watch the latest soap opera or whatever it is that is on TV.  Josh and I strive to watch one show on Thursday nights at 8:00pm.  "The Office."  That show is so funny.  Sometimes its difficult to get that in, but its all good!  Here are some pictures of us lately.

Jenna came to visit us this weekend.  She is home from college in Oklahoma.  Its been nice having her here.  My girls absolutely love her.  Kenady always wants her to have a sleepover in her room.  

Kenady and Presley cheesing out.  I have a hard time getting a picture of them where they are both looking at the camera.  Plus I'm very bad at taking pictures so they never turn out very good.  But I think they look so cute in this one.  I am a little biased though:)
Here is our little man Teag.  He is such a good baby.  We love every little thing he does and every little noise he makes.  Josh and I get a good laugh when he tries to focus he eyes so much that he goes cross-eyed.  He is sooo cute.
Go Gators!!! Josh is a major fan of the Florida Gators.  Teag wore this outfit last weekend for the SEC Championship and will wear it again for the BCS Championship game. ( I hope it still fits him in a few weeks. He's growing so fast.)

Special Anniversary!

My brother Payton and his wife Marlene celebrated their 10th anniversary on November 28th.  They did it in a very special way by being sealed to each other and their children, Bailee, Falynn and Cheznee in the Bountiful Temple.  We are so happy for them.  Congratulations!

Newborn Life!

Here are some more pictures of our little Teag.  He is such a good baby (so far).  I think it helps that this is our 3rd kid.  I think I may have figured out a few things that I didn't know with the first two.   He will be two weeks old tomorrow which is hard to believe just because that means that I haven't left the house for almost that long.  I did make it in to vote on election day, which was painful for me, but that has been my only venture out.  And I have to say I've been pretty OK with that.  You would think I would get the urge to go somewhere but it just hasn't come.  Maybe next week!

We are all doing great though.  Thanks to those of you who have helped me out so much these last two weeks and all the food that has been given us.  I'm still having meals brought in, thanks to the organizing skills of my great sister-in-law Melissa.   

Welcome Baby Teag!

Teag Robert Nacey joined our family on October 29th.   And of course, we think he is the most handsome baby boy ever!  He was 6lbs 2oz and 19 inches long. 

While in SLC the girls got to stay with Grandma and Grandpa Nacey and with Aunt Julie and Aunt Rachel.  This was them on Halloween.  They got to do a lot of fun stuff, but I think they would have preferred to stay in the hospital and hang out with the "baby brother."
This was our life for three days while in the hospital.  Josh slept there every night with me, as uncomfortable as it was for him.  He is such a sweetheart! 
This was me in recovery after the C-section.  I really enjoyed this hospital because they put a mirror up for me so that I could see everything.  After having 2 previous C-sections I decided I wanted to see it.  It was awesome! I wish I could have seen the other two.    

Our poor little guy didn't have a name until the day we left the hospital.  We couldn't decide.  Finally after 3 days of suggestions we decided on Teag.   So far he's been a real mellow baby.  No crazy nights yet, but I'm sure they are coming!  

Halloween Party

So our friends held their annual Halloween party last night.  Let me just say that I almost went into labor because I was laughing so hard.  There were about 30 couples there and everyone was decked out in the most creative costumes.  This is Josh and I being Juno and Bleeker (from the movie Juno).  With me being 9 months pregnant, we didn't have a whole lot of options on costumes.  Clearly my costume was boring but Josh really got into his character, especially during the dance contest portion of the evening.  We had an awesome time, as always, and can't wait for next year's party.

Josh also carved all the pumpkins for the center pieces which are displayed below.  There were pretty scary this year.  

Pumpkin Carving

For those of you who don't know, my husband is a pumpkin carving fiend.  Hence the reason why we are already carving and its only October 5th.  The kids love it though.  He has a collection of pumpkin stencils on our computer and adds more and more each year.  I think the first year he got into it he carved about 20 pumpkins in about 3 days.  ( He's very passionate about his hobbies.)

So this is Josh carving a Cinderella pumpkin.  The first of the season.  The pumpkin carving might be tricky around Halloween this year seeing as we will be in the hospital having the new baby on the 29th of October.  The kids will get to Trick-or-Treat in SLC this year.  

You can see the kids better than the pumpkin in this picture so I took another one below that you can't see the kids, but can see the pumpkin pretty good.

This is kind of a bad picture, but this is Sponge Bob.  This is one of the favorites every year.  He's even made a custom stencil for my face and his, but for some reason I don't have those pictures saved on my computer.  Its pretty cool though.  

Happy Birthday Presley

Presley turned 3 on October 3rd.  We had a party with her little friends, which was interesting, and then we had cake and ice cream with Grandma and Grandpa Mackey, Bridger and Ali, Aunt Jan, and Bart, Melissa and Bailey.  Presley is a very sweet little girl who gets very shy sometimes.  Very often during her party she wouldn't look at the camera or anyone else.  We love her so much and very grateful that she is in our family.

This is Presley being shy.  She was actually on the verge of tears when this picture was taken.  She was too shy to blow out her candles in front of all the adults.  Kenady had to do it for her.  We hope you had a happy birthday Presley!

Dressing up!

My kids love to dress up ( if you didn't know that already).  They are always wearing some sort of princess dress or dance outfit.  This is just another episode.  Usually Kenady will say, "Mom, and then you see a beautiful girl, (herself, of course) walking, and you say, 'Oh my goodness, who is that beautiful girl?'"  So Presley will then say, "Mom, you be the prince." Then she'll take my hand to dance with her.  Its very entertaining.

Kids these days are so lucky.  If had even one princess dress at their age I would have been in heaven.  My kids have a whole box full and usually get another one for every special occasion, (Thanks to grandmas and grandpas).

First Day of School

This is Kenady on her first day of school.  She was so excited to ride on the bus.  I barely got this picture before she bolted down the sidewalk. 

This was the second day of school.  She loves it.  It it a very long day though.  She gets on the bus at 8:53am and doesn't get home off the bus until 4:10 pm.  Its long for her and long for her mother.  I've picked her up a couple of days so that we have time to go do something before dinner.  Its so fun to see her getting so old.  

 This is our fish tank finished (well almost).  It turned out beautifully.  Josh is still trying to get everything situated.  We did have some bass in the tank, but we came home from SLC to the smell of 5 dead fish.  It was awful.  I almost lost my lunch and I wasn't even the one that had to stink my head real close to the tank to get them out.  

That's one tricky thing about having such a large fish tank,  We have to keep an 8 ft ladder in the basement at all times.  Josh is constantly on the ladder reaching down in the tank doing stuff.  I think we will end up getting some more types of bass or freshwater fish to put in it. 

I would say that besides getting some furniture, our house is about 97% done.  We have most of our cabinet doors.  Still missing a few important ones, but hopefully by next week we will be all done.  Hallelujah!

Home Sweet Home

For those of you who haven't seen, this is our new house.  We are so pleased with the way it turned out.  There are still some things that are not quite finished, (the cabinet doors) which I'm about ready to strangle my cabinet guy.  So I won't put any pictures of the interior quite yet.  I want you to get the full finished effect.

We've had a very busy two weeks.  It started out with us moving into our new house.  That was so exhausting.  Two weeks later I'm still trying to recover.  I'm going to try to post some pictures of the house soon.  I just haven't had time to take any yet.  It really turned out beautifully and I'm so happy.  Thanks to my sweet husband who has spent every day over here for the past 8 months.  We are extremely grateful to have a little more space to stretch our legs.  Hopefully one of these next months we will be able to get some furniture to fill up all this space.  Right now we don't have any couches in our living room.  We put our old couches in the basement, so right now when we have company over we all just kinda sprawl out on the floor.  And amazingly its still pretty comfortable!

So we moved in one a Tuesday and then had to pack up again and head to Salt Lake for Grandpa Nacey's funeral on Thursday.   It was a very emotional and hectic weekend.  The funeral was wonderful and it was nice to see everyone gather to celebrate the life of Grandpa.

South Dakota

We just got back from an awesome trip to the Black Hills.  We had a Himmerich Family reunion in Deadwood SD so we got to spent several days up there visiting family and seeing the sights.  Josh and I hadn't been there for 7 years so it was fun to make the trip back up there.

While we were there we took the kids to Story Book Island in Rapid City.  

These are all the kids that we had with us that day.  Mya, Canaan, Kaylee, Presley, Kenady, Kyle and Dax.

Presley on the other hand, continually heard throughout the day, "Presley look at the camera, Presley smile," over and over.  She finally had her breakdown in Yogi the Bear's picnic basket.

This was on the boat at the gorge.  We were trying to get a little fishing in, but the fish weren't cooperating.

Presley gets to drive the boat.  I thought she was going to flip us a couple of times with the way she was cranking on the steering wheel.  

My children are so "creative."  Creative means messy in my vocabulary.  The two ironing boards are their horses, which they tied belts to for reins and then proceeded to bring every toy from their room to our tiny closet because I guess that was the best place for their carriage.  Of course most of our clothes ended up on the floor after this game.

Aunty Melissa gave them these suckers.  Bad Aunty Melissa, bad! :)

Kenady got to ride a banana bike at Bear Lake and she thought she was the coolest.  Its all she could talk about for days after.
