The Shirt

Everyone has a favorite item of clothing.  Usually it will only last a season or perhaps a couple of years until it gets slightly worn out and then replaced with a new favorite.  My dear sweet husband is very loyal to his clothing and will continue to wear them, ( it, in this case) FOREVER.  Here is a picture of Josh when we were dating.  He is wearing his absolute favorite shirt.  Someone from his mission gave it to him and oh how he has cherished it.  When this picture was taken, it was probably only one year old.  Still looks fresh and new.  Both Josh and the shirt fit into this category.  Josh probably weighs about 50 lbs. lighter in this picture than he does now and that is a good thing.  He was a bit skinny back then.
This a picture of this same shirt that has been worn at least once a week for the last 10, thats right, 10 years.  The front view:

And the back view:
I love (not really) how he continues to wear this shirt once a week even though it is hanging on his shoulders by threads.  What I love even more is that I still hang this shirt up on a hanger.  Old habits die hard I guess.  I guessing by 2010 this shirt may accidently get ripped right down the center in the washer...wink, wink!  Then he'll have to find a new favorite, ohhhh so sad.  I'll have to be careful though, he has an Old Navy St. Patricks Day shirt that has the year printed on it of 2004, that is quickly catching up to this one.  That one might have to get left at the Gorge on accident :)
