It seems like we have been going to SLC every other weekend this last little bit. So staying true to our form, we were again down there this last weekend. Josh wanted to go see "Throwdown Showdown" or "Showdown in the Throwdown" or whatever it is called. He had a couple of friends that were fighting at the Energy Solutions Arena so he wanted to go watch them. So we headed off for another quick weekend. The fun thing for me was that Heather and Tina met me in Salt Lake and we went to lunch and did a little shopping on Saturday. It was so fun. It reminded of the good ole' times from HS and college. Josh took the girls to the RV show at the Expo center while Heather, Tina and I went to Pei Wei and then to Tai Pan. Ahhh memories!
Josh did the last post on our blog which is why there was only pictures. However I did want to point out the beautiful picture of our fish tank. This lovely tank is the center of our, I mean his, universe right now. He lives, breathes, eats and drinks for that fish tank. He was finally able to get some cool fish in and has spent many, emphasize many, hours (and dollars) getting everything set up and situated. He keeps telling me that as soon as it gets up and running that he won't be going to the pet store every day, but I've been hearing that for a couple of months now.
As you can see it now has sand in it. Mind you, it started out with rocks. So we had to drain the tank down to 2 feet of water instead of 4 and then hire our 8 year old neighbor boy to climb down into the tank, and hand the rocks out one at a time. All the while he keeps screaming, thinking that either the crab or the eels are rubbing against his legs. I wish I would have taken pictures. It was quite the ordeal. 3 hours later, the rocks were out and we were on our way to a sandy bottom. Long story short, the fish tank takes up a lot of his time (and money). If I would have known fish could be such a pain in the butt, I would have just let the kids get a dog, which by the way is probably never going to happen!
