Strawberry Shortcake Boots

We have been slowly plodding away through January and February. It just kinda feels like things have been going slowly. We have done a couple of fun things. Josh and I were able to go to Vernal a few weeks ago to go to the temple and watch a wrestling dual between Iowa and UVU. Iowa is the number one ranked team in the country. UVU is not so much, but it was still fun to see those really good wrestlers from Iowa. At the temple we did Josh's great great grandpa and great great grandma's names. That was the first time that we've done family names. It was a pretty neat experience. Now I don't think I'll go unless I have a family name, which thanks to his mom, we have plenty of work to do!

This last weekend we decided to go up to Jackson just for a quick little get away. We got to go tubing at the Snow King and the girls swam in what they thought were the "Hot Springs"( the swimming pool at Snow King). Although it wasn't very hot and their little bodies were shivering quite a bit when they were done, they had a great time. Teag kept busy running around the lobby impressing the ladies with his strength. Everytime someone would say "Oh, you are such a cutie," he would smack the wall with his hand or pretend to do somersault. He is such a goof ball.

We drove down to Star Valley that night and stayed with my mom and dad. It was a nice change from hanging out in the house the whole weekend.

These are some funny pictures. Word to the wise: If you have girls before boys in your family, you should just buy black, either gender friendly snow boots. That way your little boy doesn't have to wear strawberry shortcake boots because you don't want to go out and buy another pair of snowboots when there is a "perfectly good" pair that he can wear, pink strawberries and red-headed girls aside.

This is Teag deciding if he wants to play with the girls outside at Grandma Mackeys. He ultimate decision was no, he did not want to play outside. I'm not sure if it was because of the strawberry shortcake boots or not.
Here are the girls. There is a lot more snow in Star Valley than there is here so they spent a couple hours out there. They loved jumping off that porch railing into the deep snow.
Goofy kids destroying my living room once again. Hope everyone is plodding through winter just fine!
